The Finer Things Club

Remember the Finer Things Club from the Office?

"The Finer Things Club is the most exclusive club in the office. They meet once a month to discuss books and art and celebrate culture "in a very civilized way." "There is no paper, no plastic and no work talk allowed."
- Taken from Dunderpedia.

I had forgotten about the Finer Things Club until I caught a rerun of that episode on TBS a few months ago. Since then, I knew that we needed to start a version of this at my own office. So, a few emails sent back and forth in fancy script led to the creation of our very own Finer Things Club.

Our introductory meeting was just lovely. We drank Earl Gray.

And tried our very best to converse about finer things.

Discussion topics included family heritage, the origin of names, and cucumber sandwiches. We need to work a little on our subject matter...

The club is very exclusive. To become a member, you must be evaluated by the group on the following scale:

1. Level of interest in finer things
2. Level of interest in wearing hats
3. Ability to comply with group standards
4. Haircut

It's nice to break up the monotony of working full time, don't you think? I think every office should have a Finer Things Club.
