It was great, I had some great backpacking gear, and I just ran right up there without a sweat and then repelled down once I got to the top. Thrilling.
...alright, not really. A more accurate depiction would be that I wore tennis shoes with little support, accidentally drank all of my water on the bus trip before we even got there, tried to walk as carefully as I could but still fell down twice, started to feel nervous when we got to the top, and then climbed back down, tripping over every tiny rock.
But it was good. I'm going to consider falling down only twice a success. And I didn't die. I could have died.
Plus, I must admit it was really breathtakingly beautiful. I wish I had more pictures, but my camera died about halfway up the mountain.
This was the coolest little house we saw on our way there. It's made out of so many different materials.
And here is my halfway up the mountain view. Pretty, but it was even better at the top.Until next time my friends....
I consider only falling twice a GREAT success, it was slippery up there! especially since we didn't have the help of a huge walking stick like Eric..
